Oh, what about those peacan eggs…I don't know the name but they are like a big hunk of marshmellow stuff covered with peacons.

  2. Chele Says:

    S'meeps rock!

    A s'meep is a s'more made with a peep.

And, yes you can roast them over a fire. The colored sugar melts and makes a little crust, depending on how long you roast them.

Black jelly beans are awesome too!

    Great episode!

My Dad LOVES stale Peeps. There is a package of Peeps up on the hutch in his house that is about 3 years old. Ok, he likes stale, MOLDY Peeps. 🙂
He also likes Stella Doro Pfeffernuese (spelling) stale, and he also likes Mallomars stale. Hmmm….he likes everything stale. Weird. Oh well.

I'm so surpised you've never heard of making your own marshmellows. It's such a Martha thing to do.

I think the candy you were talking about used to be called "Marshmallow Eggs". The past few years I have seen them individually wrapped, but in my day, they came in a bag and were just laid in the basket like jelly beans. Now it looks like they're called "Bunny Basket Eggs". Here's a link to what you're talking about:

They are my all-time favorite Easter candy and I'm sorry to say, I didn't have any this year 🙁

Ooh, I love floating a peep in my cocoa! Around here, its still cocoa weather, sadly. However, I plan on floating a purple peep in my chai tea and trying to stay warm on my SNOW DAY today. 🙂

  7. Noah Says:

Ha! I love the s'meep idea.

p.s. — A "peep" is a group of chickens, so the marshmallow rabbits should be called a herd. "herds" doesn't sound too appetizing though. They could make it urban and trendy and spell it Herdz.
