Nasal irrigation sounds alot like water boarding.

Thanks for the plug… oh wait, there wasn't a plug for my new show.

  2. Bjorn Says:

    BEER TOUR!

Nothing beats a brewery tour, especially with free beer samples at the end (Thank Abita Brewery in Abita Springs, LA).

Really. It is THE GREATEST to tour a brewery!!!

I haven't visited the jelly belly factory yet, although I would really love to. I hear you can get a big cheap bag of something called "belly flops" which are like factory seconds, deformed jelly bellys but still taste delish. My husband and I visited the mesa boogie factory recently in Petaluma, although not quite as exciting for me.. it was interesting for about 10 minutes. They make Guitar and Bass amps and speaker cabinets.

the neti pot is really amazing. my guy uses it regularly and would swear that it has saved his life. i've done it a few times and its not too bad. just don't make the water too hot and don't put a ton of salt in it.

speaking of factory tours etc. have you heard of the show "how its made"? they play it on the discovery channel and its like mr. rogers on crack. i love it. here's a link: http://science.discovery.com/fansites/howitsmade/… they film it in canada. its just simply amazing!

i toured the hershey chocolate factory when i was in 3rd grade.

i toured the hershey chocolate factory when i was in 3rd grade on a school trip and it rocked. we even got to go and do a blind taste test for some "new" candy bar. i think it turned out to be the whatchmacallit.

and finally, i agree, dr. drew is sexy as hell.

    cheers!

  6. Nessa Says:

I have done the Hershey's tour too. It was interesting, but it can throw you off chocolate for a few days. Nothing gross, just the smell of chocolate burning your nasal cavities. And Dr. Drew is still sexy as hell 😉

  7. Steven | RedMonkey Says:

The Jelly Belly tour in Fairfield is fun (and really not that far away) and is crazy great! Do it! Another ridiculous, but fun tour, is the Harry and David tour in Oregon (http://www.harryanddavid.com/gifts/store/view____tours.html) … with free chocolate at the end!

I love my neti pot for soothing a sore throat or the onset of a cold! I don't think it's much different than gargling with salt water. I much prefer it to taking medicine.

I recently did the Scharffen Berger chocolate tour in Berkeley. It's small and intimate, and if you love dark chocolate, you'll appreciate the samples! The "lecture" is very long and extensive tho.

Hope to see you guys tonight at Hamburger Mary's!

    Rob and Sara,

And the role of Aunt Nettie Pot was created for the musical Carousel…so Sara, maybe if you sang June Is Bustin Out All Over (and then split your jeans) you would find the experience more enjoyable?

  10. Toni Says:

I am a little behind but I did want to say that I have a neti pot and love it! I have had sinus trouble all my life and it really makes such a difference. I don't use it near as much as I should and it is a weird sensation but it totally does work!

I love you guys too! Listening to your podcast always makes my day!
