How much do we love being mentioned on your podcast!
I was doing some dishes and listening to some podcasts and I almost dropped a wineglass when you mentioned me, so fun!
I immediately had to blog it!
Also, I love the idea of “Ask Erik the Swede”!
About the name Absolut Pears, I don’t really know, it doesn’t make any sense to me either. Maybe they’re just trying to be different.

How much do we love Erik's-with-a-K? I was "Erik the Red," and 3 generations from Norway. Do you eat lutefiske too? My grandmother would make it every year for Christmas until I moved out. It turned out she was just doing it for me. The entire family hated it 😉

On getting things monogrammed: How much do we love Lillian Vernon catalogs [http://www.lillianvernon.com/]? We don't seem to get them in California, but I'd get 2 a month when I was in Colorado. I never bought anything from the wrinkly old dear, but I fantasized about a big stack of monogrammed brass plates so I could leave my mark on anything that would hold still. Now I just use my Brother P-Touch.

    XO Sara and Rob!

I know, over here that's the "normal" spelling.

I personally don't eat lutfisk (as it's called i swedish) but some people do, especially on Christmas. But we've never really had it in my family, to me it seems kind of gross, dried fish soaked in lye to give it a nice slimey consistency…

However we do like to do weird things with fish here in Scandinavia, gravlax and pickled herring are a must at all major holidays.

The most gross thing af all must be "surströmming" (literally "sour herring") see; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surstr%C3%B6mming

How Much Do I Love Sara and Rob??

    So much!!

Okay, so listen to this! Rob mentioned watermelon salsa on a podcast a while back and I enter chili and salsa competitions with my father-in-law and brother-in-law during the summer… and guess what! This weekend I got 1st place in salsa with a little thing called watermelon salsa. I won 🙂 So thanks Rob for the great idea!!!

Also, we just bought a brand new car and it has the iPod thingy which is great. But our SUV has the tape deck and so we totally have a tape converter. And I am okay with both 🙂

Love a road side stand, love a mani-pedi, love a monogramed item.

My company sells about 300 different personalizable items for very cheap… orientaltrading.com. And its way fun to have your name put on crazy things.

    And Love You Guys!!!!

Great show and lots of love from Nebraska!

How much do I love hearing my own story on the podcast?!?! The squidface shirt was never explained. I also own a throw blanket that says "Best Neighbos," which I'm guessing was a typo.

Thanks for the shout-out(s)! Lotta Wisco love this episode.

p.s. The CSA idea was put in my mind by you guys, but then my roommates came to me independently and asked if I wanted to, and I was like, YES!!! So you can take credit, that's cool.

HMDWL roadtrips? Just got back from a 3-week roadtrip: Palm Springs – Las Vegas – St. Paul/MPLS – Eureka Springs, AR – Las Vegas – Palm Springs. Lots of driving, but fun fun fun. Even hit a white-out blizzard going over the Rockies. How weird is that? Love your blog; my go-to blog when I can't sleep, which if often.
