HMDWL 4

Quickie show where we talk about how much we love buying cheap eyeglasses online, snooze bars, and Sheila’s Dream Bars.

Here’s Rob’s recipe for Caramel Bars, we think they may be a good substitute if the Sheila’s aren’t available near you.

3/4 c. butter
3/4 c brown sugar
1 c flour
1 c oatmeal
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
32 caramels
3 Tbsp butter
4 Tbsp milk
1/2 c chocolate chips

Mix together first six ingredients. Put 3/4 of this crust mixture into a 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 for 10 mins. Melt caramels, butter and milk. Pour caramel mixture onto baked crust. Sprinkle on chocolate chips (this is where I think you could add some coconut). Sprinkle/crumble on remaining crust mixture. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Taken from the Alta United Methodist Women’s Cookbook – Alta, Iowa.

Or you can just go to your local Potbelly’s Sandwich Works and ask for Shelia.
